During the editing phase of Five Parts Dead, one of the things the publisher asked me to do was to read my entire manuscript aloud. Hi everyone, with a new book on the way, I need to think about how it enters the world. It’s instructive to hear Michael Morpurgo tell of sitting at the feet of two established writers and being the ‘minnow’ of their group. He’s no minnow any more. |
